Man fatally shot in Garfield Park neighborhood

Chicago police are investigating a Garfield Park neighborhood shooting that left a 23-year-old man dead earlier this week. Taeshaun Conic, 23, was gunned down while walking about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday in the 4100 block of West Adams Street, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. A Thursday autopsy determined Conic, who was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. Nobody else was hurt and the shooter fled west and was not in custody. Area 4 detectives are investigating.
