A 3-month-old boy and 21-year-old man were in a car about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of West 26th Street when two people opened fire. Both victims were hospitalized in critical condition.
The two were in an argument when someone approached them, pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said.
Two cars collided about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 4200 block of West Lake Street. Both vehicles then struck supports for the CTA elevated train tracks. Two people were killed, and three people were hurt.
The man ran into traffic before being struck by a Toyota Prius, police said.
