Reginald Meadows, a 31-year-old father of two, was killed and more than 20 others were wounded in a shooting in a strip mall parking lot near Willowbrook.
The three-alarm — soon upgraded to a four-alarm — fire broke out about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Commercial Pallet, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Crews were rotated out as high temperatures and humidity made the firefight more difficult.
The boy was shot twice in the thigh and was hospitalized in critical condition.
Sade Robinson, 19, was reported missing April 2. Maxwell Anderson, 33, is charged with killing and dismembering Robinson. Robinson's body parts were found in various areas near Milwaukee.
