About 12:40 a.m. Sunday, Guillermo Ruiz Hernandez was at a baby shower in the 2800 block of South Lawndale Avenue when several shots were fired and a car sped away, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
About 1:40 a.m., she was in a residential complex in the 1200 block of South Central Park Avenue when she was shot in the head, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of South Lawndale Avenue, police said.
He was also charged for not having a Firearm Owners Identification card and for using a silencer on a weapon.
