The man has robbed at least four victims at gunpoint after meeting at an agreed-upon location, police said in an alert Monday. In one instance, the man met the person at their home and stole their vehicle.
Johnson, who called on the feds to help, said those who did the shootings made "a choice to kill women, a choice to kill children, a choice to kill the elderly. And I’m here to say emphatically that we have had enough."
Of those shot, 24 were in mass shootings in Greater Grand Crossing, the Near West Side, Douglas and Austin.
Just before 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a well-being check in the 200 block of North Central Avenue and found Melvin Hill, 36, on the kitchen floor bleeding and unresponsive, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
