Ald. Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth said everyone on her email address list will continue to receive alerts about imminent crime threats, but other alerts about violent crime will go only to those who choose to receive them.
The city is reopening the Roseland Mental Health Center and adding mental health services at the Chicago Department of Public Health vaccine clinic in Pilsen and at the Legler Library in Garfield Park.
"This city has a history of attacking and trying to bring down their African American leaders," CTA President Dorval Carter Jr. told a City Council committee.
Since the first reported case on March 7, over 30,000 vaccines have been administered, primarily to migrants in shelters.
